Postpartum Care for Caesarean Birth

Having experienced two c-section births myself, I am very aware of the special needs of a mother recovering from this type of birth experience. It is not always possible for a partner to take an extended leave from work, and this is where the assistance a postpartum doula can provide will be "priceless".

As your doula I will provide all of the same postpartum services as usual, as well as providing extra special care and support to the recovering mom. This will include assisting her in getting up and around, making her comfortable while she rests, making snacks and keeping mom hydrated, and providing exceptional infant care while mom recovers.

Package includes 6 hours of DAILY care and assistance, Monday to Friday from 9am-3pm, for up to 2 weeks following the birth of your baby. (If your needs fall outside of these time parameters, please contact me to see what we can work out).

In the case of a scheduled delivery, I will dedicate the two week period following your delivery date to you. This means I will not schedule any other births or postpartum care during this time.

If you experience an unexpected c-section delivery, we can discuss my availability soon after your birth. If you have already retained my services for your labour, I will already have dedicated this time frame to you, if it is two weeks on either side of your due date. If you have not already hired me as your doula, I may still be available for caesarean postpartum care. Please contact me as soon as possible after your birth.
